David Sater is a writer (mythographer), visual artist, experimental filmmaker, & aspiring alchemist
currently dividing his time between upstate new york & oaxaca mexico.
He is the chymical author of the forthcoming Hum, or, The Breathing Stone - an illuminated novel,
in the style (inflectedly) of the old alchemical emblem books, set in a sanatorium.
He is also working on a novella published in shards (risograph) based on an ancient persian magus :
The Invisible Well, or, Osthanes & the island of golden toxins
(set on an alchemical orphan ship, captained by a witch with her long beard - where she is raising a group of orphans (lapis exilis - reads the rosarium, ‘the philosophical stone is an orphan’) along with a blue crab Estragon who does some tutoring, a french teen with the head of a dog, & a medieval clown with bird talons for feet who sleeps under the table & is often grumpy.) they go on adventures related to the chinese alchemical philosophy of Neidan - several volumes, such as The Cinnabar Kid are for sale (reach out through Instagram or email)

D studied literature, art, ancient mythologies & experimental film at Bard College.
